Our September Book Club selection is an epic fantasy written by Grace Lin. The 2010 Newbery Honor book is inspired by the Chinese myths that Lin read growing up and features mythical creatures that are specific to Chinese culture, specifically the Chinese dragon. Watch the video below to learn how to do a simple drawing of a dragon and to hear the author explain the difference between a European dragon and a Chinese dragon (hint: they are very different!).
